5 tips on making the switch to vaping

As we wrap up 2018, we look back at a very big year in vaping and Fuma will be looking at our 10 year anniversary coming up YAY! However, rather than focusing on the past, this post is aimed at first time users. It’s a classic time of year to make changes in old habits so I figured I would write out 5 things that really helped me when I switched to vaping.

1. Find a device that is easy to use.

It’s true that vaping saves a lot of money over smoking and using liquid over pre-filled carts saves even more. However, if this is your first time making the switch, I find it helpful to look for what is easiest rather than what costs the least. Our pre-filled cartridges are super user-friendly and some of the most affordable on the market. Just twist the cartridge onto the battery and that’s it. Just puff on it the same way you would a traditional tobacco cigarette.

2. Cost.

OK, I know this was mentioned a lot in the point above, but who doesn’t like the prospect of saving money. It’s a very old trick, but money is one of the greatest motivators on the planet and just might keep you cigarette free.

3. Enjoy the flavors.

A whole new world awaits you filled with new flavors to be explored. You can make a vape taste like anything from cereal to melty salted caramel. 4. A little help from your friends.

No matter your age, peer pressure affects us all to some degree. If your New Years' resolution is to stay away from cigs, you may want to spend more time with friends and family who either don’t smoke or who already vape. If you used to smoke around these people in the past, they will probably welcome your change and appreciate the lack of smoke smell that used to follow you.

5. Get into the culture.

Mixing different juices, coil building, activism vape shops and experiencing different eLiquid. This is a huge industry with many passionate souls involved in it. I highly encourage you to take time to explore the culture and try new things. Visit a vape shop and talk about different juices you have tried and share the experience with others. Vaping, just like smoking, is a great social outlet and a fantastic way to meet new people.
